Ellab Acquires Project Support
Ellab Expands in Denmark with the Acquisition of Project Support
Today, Ellab announces the acquisition of Project Support A/S (“Project Support”), a Danish validation and calibration service company with 7 employees based in Lyngby. This is Ellab’s 2nd acquisition in Denmark and the 9th globally since EQT joined in September 2019.
Since 2000, Project Support has been a leading provider of validation, calibration, consulting as well as equipment rental solutions to the pharmaceutical and biotech industries. The company is DANAK-accredited across multiple scopes and has successfully realized the synergies between the different disciplines within its service offerings.
The acquisition of Project Support fits with Ellab’s corporate strategy of expanding its field services in key markets. Ellab is interested in consolidating its position within field services in Denmark, as it is a key priority to build out field services to existing and potential customers present in the Nordic region. In line with this strategy, Project Support will be merged with Ellab A/S, which will expand the field service & consulting team in Denmark to be 21 consultants and engineers and approximately 220 for the entire global field service & consulting team. The total headcount is now 590 for the Ellab Group.
Ellab will benefit from Project Support’s strong experience and customer relationships while strengthening Project Support to become part of a larger organization. This further enables Project Support to access Ellab’s equipment base and software while leveraging the Ellab brand, customer relationships and infrastructure.
The owners of Project Support, Frank Horsbøl and Johnni Jaqué will continue within the Ellab Nordic Field Service & Consulting Organization.
